Schedules

Schedules are a new feature in ConsoleWorks 4.7 for controlling when things happen on a regular basis. A Schedule component can be defined and associated to other components to control when they occur. Schedules are stand-alone components that can be accessed from the Tools section of the left-hand menu.

Schedule Details

A Schedule is simply a specified date and time for something to occur. In addition an optional repeating frequency can be specified to control how often something will occur after the first time. The repeating frequency can be specified in units of time ranging from minutes all the way to years. For a one-time scheduled occurrence you would set the Repeat Every field to 0. Each Schedule also has 12 user defined fields for storing any information you feel necessary.

Associations

A single schedule can be associated to many different ConsoleWorks components. Baselines and Events require that a Console (or Group in the case of Events) be associated as well. CWScripts, Reports, and Backups do not require any additional associations. As with all other components in ConsoleWorks, Tags can be associated to Schedules to help control how Access Control Rules are applied.
